Fostering Eddie was the best decision I have ever made. I remember being handed this tiny, helpless, bony puppy who was shaking out of fear. He was missing patches of fur, and was severely underweight.
I was extremely nervous, scared I would break him since he was so fragile and little. But holding him in my arms, as he drifted off to sleep, I knew at that moment that we would be fine. Just hours later he woke up an energetic, playful puppy.
The two weeks I had him were filled with laughter,and joy as I watched him blossom into this hilarious fun dog. Finding him a forever home was no problem, as everyone immediately fell in love with him, but the next part was a lot harder than I could have ever imagined. While giving him to his forever family made me cry, it was an amazingly rewarding experience to be able to make a difference, and help something in need. I can’t wait for the new pups I will get to meet, and help find their new families.
